Gustave Bernardel, the famous French luthier, invented his rosin recipe in the early 20th century. The secret was then passed on to the Français family. Thanks to our close relationship with the Français family, the brothers Jean and Jacques (very well known luthiers in Paris and New York) have offered us to continue the tradition. Our commitment was that they had to continue to use the same manufacturing process and raw materials to respect the authenticity and exceptional quality of the rosin. The Gustave Bernardel rosin is now produced by CORELLI SAVAREZ in the same way: it is still handmade, unit by unit. It is made of natural rosin from selected high quality pine trees, using "Galipot" (the first sap of the tree). The components of the recipe are still strictly controlled.
